Kit Care
by Zijlia Kitshoff
I am a mature professional with a lifetime of experience; a college graduate, majored in Social Work and Christian Counseling. I am a mother of two. Both my children are successful adults today and I attribute that to my and my husband's dedication. I have the time, the training, the enthusiasm, the knowledge, good judgment, common sense, the responsibility, and above all, a heart for children.
I have DCF (Dept. of Children and Families) Certification and constantly educating myself in the Childcare profession. I have CPR and First Aid training. I am a Volunteer at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department, and also Volunteering at Gotha Middle School in Windermere.
You're attracted to things that seem to fit, and I've always fit with young children. I like to watch them – to figure them out. I really feel that working with young children is a real, honest endeavor. I believe in creating a caring structured, child-centered environment. I promote educational activities which foster problem solving skills and character development.
I was born into an amazing Christian family. For as long as I can remember, my Dad was always involved in ministry, and my Mom seemed to have a direct line to God through her hours of prayer and time spent soaking in the Scriptures. The most important aspect of life in our home was Jesus. I am a child of God.
Reading is my life-long passion. I've been caught up in the words opened up to me by books. I keep myself physically healthy by cycling in the gym. I love traveling and meeting people.
